About

The MALBA (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires) is the premier destination to appreciate one of the finest collections of Latin American art. This non-profit institution is dedicated to collecting, preserving, researching, and promoting Latin American art. Opened in 2001, the MALBA Museum is located in Palermo Chico, just a 15-minute stroll from Recoleta.

The museum hosts the impressive Constantini Collection, consisting of up to 400 works by 78 artists from across South and Central America. Highlights include pieces by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Antonio Berni, Fernando Botero, Wilfredo Lam, and Roberto Matta. MALBA Buenos Aires also hosts numerous temporary exhibitions throughout the year and screens films in its onsite auditorium.

If you don't mind a walk, MALBA is approximately a 20-minute walk from Facultad de Derecho Station on Linea H or Scalabrini Ortiz Station on Linea D.
