Avenida Corrientes is home to Buenos Aires's theatre land. Locals know it as the street that never sleeps.

The main hub of theatres is located between Florida Street up to Callao Street. There are many theatres here showing anything from Shakespeare plays and Dramas to Comedies and musicals staring well known local talents.

One of the main theatres on Avenida Corrientes is El Teatro San Martin which has 3 theatres and a whole host of shows and
exhibitions.

Most of the theatres have a box office at the entrance and are generally open throughout the day up until show time.

At night it is worth checking out the nearby Obelisco and Avenida 9 de Julio. Both a lite up and bright billboards flash away from building rooftops and facades.

In 2023, Chad Smith, the drummer for the Red Hot Chilli Peppers visited Güerrín ahead of the band's concert in Buenos Aires.

How to get to Avenida Corrientes:

Subway:
Linea B runs directly beneath Avenida Corrientes. You can get of at either Florida, C. Pellegrini, Uruguay and Callao Stations.

Linea C - Get off at Diagonal Norte Station.

Linea D - Get of at 9 de Julio Station.

Bus:
Routes, 6, 7, 9, 10, 17, 24, 26, 29, 45, 50, 59, 67, 70, 100, 111, 146 and 180.
