April marks the commencement of autumn in Buenos Aires. The weather starts to cool but remains comfortably warm, making it a pleasant time to visit the city. The average daytime temperatures in April range from 15°C (59°F) to 23°C (73°F), while evenings can be a bit cooler, so you might want to consider bringing a light sweater.

As the month progresses, the leaves will begin to fall, signalling the change in seasons. This creates a picturesque environment, especially in the city's many parks and tree-lined streets. During April, many of the main coastal destinations become much quieter as the coastal weather becomes less pleasant compared to the summer months. However, the city itself remains vibrant and full of life.

If you're planning a trip away from Buenos Aires during April, it's important to consider when Easter falls. Easter usually sparks a last burst of visitors heading to the coast or other local destinations for day trips or longer getaways. As such, it's wise to book your accommodation ahead of time to ensure availability.
