El Museo River Plate is dedicated to the history of one of Argentina's biggest football teams. Located next to El Monumental Stadium, it is the largest museum of its kind in the world. Purpose-built and opened in late 2009, El Museo River Plate is very modern and takes visitors on a journey through River Plate's history via a time tunnel. On display are many trophies, club shirts, and memorabilia, as well as dedications to the club's legends like Enzo Francescoli and Alfredo di Stefano.

The museum is packed with videos and large screens, including a 360-degree cinema screening a 25-minute film about the club's history. Within the entrance to the museum, there is a club shop and a restaurant.

How to get to River Plate Stadium:

The River Plate Stadium is located in the northern suburb of Núñez. It is approximately 20-25 minutes by cab from downtown Buenos Aires. Alternatively, you can take the Mitre Line train from Retiro Station. Make sure to take the train that terminates in Tigre and get off at Núñez Station. The journey takes roughly 20 minutes. From Núñez Station, the River Plate Stadium is approximately a 20-minute walk away.

Bus: The following bus routes pass close by: 28, 29, 42, and 130.
