About

El Museo Evita (The Evita Museum) pays homage to the legendary former First Lady of Argentina, Evita Perón. Opened in 2002, the museum houses a vast collection of Evita Perón's artifacts and memorabilia from all periods of her life.

The museum is located in a former house once owned by the Eva Perón Foundation. Acquired in 1948, the building initially served as a shelter for women and children, personally inaugurated by Evita on July 18th, 1948. Later used by the state for government departments, it was refurbished in 1999 by the Eva Perón National Institute of Historical Research.
