February weather in Buenos Aires, while perhaps not as intense as January, still features many sweltering days. The temperatures in Buenos Aires in February often remain high, with the weather frequently reaching up to 33°C (91°F).

Due to these high temperatures, some days and evenings attract thunderstorms. These storms can bring some relief, but the following days can become quite humid.

Mosquitos are present at various stages during the summer, and February is no exception. In my experience, they don't react well to air conditioning or fans, so it's a good idea to use these to your advantage. Additionally, having a mosquito repellent handy is essential. The local product called "Off" is popular among locals and is available in both cream and spray forms. However, if there is an extended period of mosquitos, some shops may run out. Therefore, it might be wise to ensure you have enough repellent on hand. Alternatively, there are other repellents that don't need to be applied to the body, such as those that plug into a wall socket or incense burners.

When preparing for the weather in Buenos Aires in February, consider the following tips based on my experience:

Clothing:

Dress lightly and comfortably. Light, breathable fabrics are best for coping with the heat. A hat is advisable if you plan to be outdoors for long periods.

Air Conditioning:

Seek air-conditioned environments to get a break from the heat. Entering a cool shop or venue can be a welcome relief from the sweltering temperatures.

Portable Charger:

Keep a portable charger for your phone fully charged, as you may need it if you're out and about in the city.

Hydration:

Stay hydrated by carrying a water bottle with you. The high temperatures can quickly lead to dehydration.

The average temperature in Buenos Aires in February ranges from 23°C (73°F) to 33°C (91°F) during the day. The high humidity levels can make it feel even hotter, and the heat can be intense, so it's important to stay cool and hydrated.
