Avenida Santa Fe
About
Avenida Santa Fe is a lengthy avenue renowned as one of Buenos Aires' primary shopping hubs. Stretching from centrally located Plaza San Martin, crossing Avenida 9 de Julio, and extending through the neighborhoods of Recoleta, Barrio Norte, and into Palermo.
In the 1880s, inspired by Parisian urban planning, Buenos Aires implemented a scheme of large boulevards running east to west every six blocks. Avenida Santa Fe was widened and selected as one of the prominent avenues of the city.
